Solo Show “Human Nature” at Bushwick Community Darkroom, 2018

Franey Miller b. 1995 was born in Chicago, IL, grew up in Louisville, KY and has been based in New York City for 12 years. She began taking photos for artistic expression while she was growing up, and now has over a decade of professional photography experience.

Her work is a vision of vibrant emotions, connecting expressive color stories with the beauty of the people she photographs. Whether it’s a campaign for a high-fashion brand, a studio shoot with a famous rapper, or a natural portrait session, her eye evokes genuine passion out of everyone she photographs. She is inspired by nature and she explores the natural world with her camera as much as possible.

She has extensive expertise shooting both digital and film in both studio and on-location scenarios. Currently, she shoots with a Canon 77D for digital and a Canon Elan 7E for 35mm film. She also has experience shooting medium format on the Fuji 645, Mamiya 645, and Pentax 67. She is well versed in using studio strobes and owns two Neewer outdoor flashes that can be used on location or in studio. She has also used the Profoto series strobes and lighting kits.

Franey is looking to photograph editorials, lookbooks, campaigns, artist portraits, events, and backstage at Fashion Week. If you’re interested in booking Franey or getting more information, please reach out to franeymillerphoto@gmail.com.
